Michael co-founded the Australian Institute for Rational Emotive Therapy, is an approved supervisor with the Albert Ellis Institute in New York, and worked closely with REBT founder Albert Ellis for more than three decades. He has authored or edited over 30 books for professionals and the general public on REBT and its application in work with children, adolescents, parents, teachers, principals, athletes, managers and employees across a wide range of organisations.

REBT Child- and Adolescent Practitioner Training
We offer on-line and in-person training workshops in the use of Rational-Emotive, Cognitive-Behavior Therapy (REBT) with school-age children.
These workshops are presented by Michael Bernard, Ph.D., an international leader in the application of REBT with children and adolescents experiencing anxiety, depression, anger, procrastination and under-achievement.
As a fellow and approved training supervisor of the Albert Ellis Institute and founder of the Australian Institute for Rational Emotive Therapy, Michael has trained over 1,000 psychologists, counsellors, social workers and chaplains in REBT.
He has authored and edited over 10 books on REBT and many book chapters. For many years he worked with Albert Ellis, founder of REBT.
